ABOUT

"The Right Profiles" is a monthly essay series dedicated to the multi-directional intersection of movies and music. The series takes its name from The Clash's song of the same name, a punk eulogy for Montgomery Clift. But rather than focusing on songs that reference movies or movies with memorable needle-drops, "The Right Profiles" narrows the lens. It's an exploration of the circular influence between mediums – that is, the Ouroboric way cinema feeds into popular music and vice versa.
